"How long does a review take and do you still get benefits during the reevaluation?"
Not really sure what to tell you about the review (CDR, or continuing disability review). Theoretically, it takes as long as processing an initial claim since they have to gather evidence in the same fashion as a disability application.
So, it could be weeks or months. Usually, a disability application is done within 90-120 days. A person still continues to get benefits during the CDR review.
Benefits only stop when a person is found to have medical improvement and their case is discontinued. Even then, they can appeal and request benefit continuation during the appeal (however, if a person does this and loses, they are responsible for paying this money back).
