How does part-time work affect my Social Security Disability monthly benefits?
Hi,
Here is my question. I'm current receiving Social Security Disability. If I'm able to work part-time in the future and make less than the SGA, will Social security deduct what I make each month from my monthly benefits???
Thank you.
You can work part time as long as you are careful to stay below the SGA limit. Remember the limit is a gross amount of earnings, not a net amount of earnings. In answer to your question, Social Security does not deduct earnings from your disability benefits.
